How to Apply
Ensure that the surface to be tiled is clean, dry, and free from any dust, grease, or contaminants. Roughen smooth surfaces and repair any cracks or imperfections as necessary.
In a clean mixing container, pour the required amount of ASTRIC “ASTABLISS” adhesive powder. Gradually add clean water while stirring continuously to achieve a smooth, lump-free paste. Follow the recommended mixing ratio provided by the manufacturer for best results.
Allow the mixed adhesive to stand for a few minutes to activate its bonding properties. Stir the mixture again briefly before application.
Using a suitable notched trowel, apply a generous layer of the adhesive onto the prepared surface, ensuring full coverage and an even thickness. Work in manageable sections to prevent the adhesive from drying out before tiles are applied.
Press the tiles firmly into the adhesive, using a twisting motion to ensure proper bonding. Maintain consistent spacing between tiles using tile spacers. Check the alignment and level of each tile as you go to ensure a professional finish.
Once the adhesive has set according to the manufacturer’s instructions, usually after 24-48 hours, proceed with grouting the tile joints using a suitable grout material. Clean any excess grout from the tile surface promptly to avoid staining.
After grouting is complete and the tiles have fully set, clean the tiled surface with a damp sponge to remove any remaining residue or haze. Allow the installation to cure completely before subjecting it to heavy traffic or moisture.
Depending on the type of tiles used and the application area, consider applying a suitable tile sealer to protect the surface from stains, water penetration, and other damage.
Regular maintenance of the tiled surface, including cleaning and resealing as needed, will help preserve its appearance and longevity over time.
